Tackling 90's cartoons, one post at a time. A blog by Kim Belding.

While us Canadians already celebrated Thanksgiving last month, I’ll be willing to cut you Americans some slack. Plus, it finally gives me a chance to post Hey Arnold!. While many shows finished shortly after the 90s, Hey Arnold! aired episodes until 2004. It even had its own movie, which received pretty bad reviews. The show probably holds a record for most bizarre head designs ever.

There was once a Christmas we had where we had to drive half an hour to my grandma’s house to get potatoes and groceries. That’s what Arnold’s Thanksgiving reminds me of, in terms of how absurd it is. Heck, his grandma confuses Thanksgiving with the 4th of July.

In this episode, both Arnold and Helga relent never having a real Thanksgiving, and celebrate it at Mr. Simmons’ house instead.
